Lee Bird is an expert at navigating and understanding the complex world of credit union IT security. Lee has a wealth of industry knowledge, developed over a 30-year career working in IT. Lee works closely with credit unions to help them implement technology to meet compliance requirements and enhance their credit union security.
In 1989, Lee founded his business to provide network support services, an evolving technology at the time. This business evolved into Btech, and beginning in 2000, the sole focus has been to provide affordable managed IT security services for credit unions. Lee is responsible for the development of new security services, often in response to credit union audit findings.
When away from the office, Lee keeps busy by being actively involved with volunteer positions and outdoor activities. Lee is an avid cyclist and has raced bicycles for many years, specializing in endurance and gravel races.
Pat joined Btech in November 2000 as the Controller. She has an integral role in all financial aspects of the company. Prior to joining Btech, Pat worked for a market research consulting firm specializing in consumer packaged goods. Pat earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Boston University. She received her Masters of Business Administration from University of Southern California.
Pat lives locally with her husband and two sons. Outside of the office, Pat enjoys spending time with family and friends. Over the years, Pat has volunteered for local organizations and schools.

Gus has always had a passion for technology. His career started as early as high school when he graduated as an Electronics and Telecommunications Technician. By then, he was already fixing televisions, VCRs and fidgeting with all sorts of electronic gadgets of the time.
Gus went on to a six year university in his native Argentina, graduating with a degree in Electronics Engineering.
Life’s turns brought him to the United States just when the computer industry was taking off and he got involved with computer networking. This has been his focus for the last 25 years - 20 of those working with Btech.
Gus holds several industry certifications including VMware, SonicWALL, HP and Cisco. His areas of expertise are: designing, implementing and maintaining complete physical and virtual network infrastructures, as a well as email systems, backup systems, firewall security, network monitoring secure remote access, mobile device management, vulnerability scanning, and disaster recovery planning and testing.
In his free time, Gus enjoys riding his motorcycle, playing racquetball and volunteering in the community.
Lance works at Btech as one of our Network Defense Specialists. At Btech, Lance performs a multitude of functions, but he specializes in the management and operation of the company’s antivirus, automated patching, and Office 365 offerings.
Lance has Trend Micro certifications for cloud managed antivirus services. He also has several VMware certifications and is currently working on attaining his CISSP certification. Lance is continuously looking for new ways to grow as a technician and is excited to be in a field with so many opportunities for professional advancement.
Ever since he was a child, Lance has had an interest in technology and the mechanisms behind the function of everyday things. This passion for learning has led him on an extended journey through many different fields in his college and professional career. Lance began his formal education studying molecular biology, eventually changing majors to studio art with a minor in art history. As his Pomona College thesis project, Lance studied the geochemical mechanisms and trends in the formation of ceramic glazes.
In his free time, Lance enjoys spending time with friends, studying foreign languages, running, and rock climbing.
